Company & Team Business Headshots

Commercial Business Headshots

As a company your staff are a key asset and differentiate you from every other company out there. In this fast moving business world, being personable and introducing your team with a set of headshots can really help someone feel like they can relate to a company. Business headshot portraits are now really important, as is their need to be professional, engaging & consistent so a unified staff brand is presented. Our corporate headshots, portraits and profile photos are shot to always convey Confidence with Approachability in order that everyone in your team, large or small look their very best.

Key Points

Where? We can photograph your staff either in our professional headshot studio, or as is often the preference, we can bring a headshot studio to your workplace

Space? If we are setting up a studio in your workplace, we need an area roughly 4m wide by ideally 4-5m long

Numbers? There is no minimum or maximum headcount, so our headshot service is perfect for small sme business through to large corporates businesses

Time? For small teams its great if we can have between 5-10 mins per person. For larger numbers of staff this can speed up to minimise business disruption without sacrificing quality or consistency

Look? The look & style of the shots will be created to match the brand & where the images are displayed. We aim on a consistent look across all staff & can shoot with white, grey or black backgrounds

Selecting? We can either let staff choose their image there & then on the day, or we will create an online proofing gallery

Background & Style Options

Which Background?

You can choose from 3 main styles to choose from, and these are based around the colour of the background. The preferred background colour will normally be linked to your website design or where the image is going to be used, though sometimes it can be to suit your personal styling and sometimes and equally often it is down to your personal preference. The three background options that you have are:

White Background / High Key

Grey Background

Black Background / Low Key

If you are booking the one of our Mini Headshot Sessions, you will need to choose which background you want for your session. If you are booking either our Standard Headshot Sessions or a Full Headshot Session then we can shoot a mixture of backgrounds to achieve a different look and feel so you have that variety

How To Prepare

How to Prepare

ABOUT THE SESSION

We photograph our in-studio headshot sessions out of our studio in Thatcham, Berkshire. Other than for our mini session, we like our headshot clientele to bring a variety of clothing options from which we shoot a couple of different looks throughout your session.

We will be taking, viewing and discussing the images as we go. Looking at the shots from time to time like this helps us to determine strong, useable images already captured but also we will be able to alter the focus of the session adjusting anything that’s not working or that can be improved

At the end of the session, we'll do a review of the images. You'll be narrowing them down to only your favourites that you'd like to keep for purchase.

CLOTHING

The #1 rule for us regarding your outfit/look is that you have to love it! If you don’t feel comfortable or confident in it, you most likely won’t shoot well while wearing it. For headshots we are only really going to see from just below the collarbone, so only consider what will be seen from this level upwards.

Avoid really heavy patterns, stripes or floral designs as these can draw the viewers eye away from your face

For those booking a standard or full session, feel free to bring a range of different options for clothing. We suggest you bring a range of different cuts, colours, and necklines. For our corporate clients, we like the men to have a variety of jacket/shirt/tie combos and for the women some options of blouse/dress/jacket combos.

Keeping jewellery to a minimum is key. Small earrings and studs work as do simple necklaces, anything hanging or chunky will usually draw too much attention to itself.

If you wear glasses and have multiple pairs, then we'd appreciate you bringing them along in order to ascertain their glare factor. Please make sure all glasses are really clean.

If you have any doubt about whether something will work or not just bring it along. Layers are fantastic for actors and no need to be seasonal; everything from t-shirts, tank tops to sweaters and light jackets can work. Have some fun with this, if you feel your wardrobe is missing something then go shopping and we’ll keep the tags on it in case you’d like to return the items after the shoot.

Women's makeup

Makeup for the session is not required but highly recommended for all women. The cost for makeup during your session is shown with the fees, but of course you can do your own prior to arriving. If doing your own, please keep the coverage as matt as possible - our lights are powerful and can cause sheen areas on glossy/shiny makeup. Feel free to bring your makeup with you incase you need to boost it or touch up any areas.

When working with our professional makeup artist, the makeup is applied to specifically suit our lighting. We usually start very naturally to give you a very clean simple look. We do touch ups and will add subtle changes to the makeup as the shoot progresses. If you’d like to start off a little heavier on the makeup do say on the day.

Women's hair

We ask that everyone come in with their hair ready, and the way you would like to present yourself. We want your hair in your pictures to be as close as possible to the way you look on a fantastic hair day and can't have you showing up to the studio as if you just rolled out of bed. Of course, if you have booked our hair and make artist, they’ll be on hand to make sure it’s shoot ready and we will discuss what you’d like to do with it and make a game plan at the beginning of the shoot

Men’s makeup

We don't recommend makeup on men, our professional retouching usually covers any issues that may arise skin wise, so there are no worries in that dept.

Facial Hair

If you’d like to shoot with facial hair we’d be happy for you to come in with whatever level of growth you’d like, you can always shave or trim it down once we’ve gotten the scruff covered. Bring whatever grooming products you’ll need with you to get it done.

Our Headshot Studio

Our Headshot Studio

My studio is located just off of the A4 in Thatcham, almost behind Kennet School. My studio is within Thatcham House, a beautiful Victorian mansion, which was converted into small office suites in the late 1980s. It is ideally located in a quiet no through road & is within a few minutes walk of both Thatcham Railway Station & Thatcham town centre. The site has a huge car park & easy pushchair & disabled access as my studio is on the ground floor.
